Donald Lemaire

Donald Wayne LeMaire, age 72, went to heaven May 26, 2020 while enjoying the farm he so loved. Don was born September 6, 1948 in Chicago to Kenneth and Eunice (Nicodem) LeMaire. On April 15, 1972, Don married Mary Helen Moomey of Caledonia, and she survives him.

Don served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army and served his community on the Coopersville Polkton Fire and Rescue unit. He enjoyed building, projects, and being called “Papa”. Don loved the time spent with his family, and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Todd (Melynda), Dan (Jen) and Dennis (Melissa) LeMaire; grandchildren Ethan and Evie, Molly and Abby and Katelyn and Nate; sister, Ruth (Tom) Mulder. He was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Kenneth and Charles LeMaire. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at St Michael’s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville with Fr. Ayub Nasar celebrant. If attending the funeral mass, you must wear a mask and practice social distancing rules. If you are feeling sick, please do not attend the service. Memorial Donations in memory of Don may be made to the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Fireman’s Club, P.O. Box 75, Coopersville, MI 49404. An online guestbook may be signed at www.throopfh.com
