Dolores Mae (McCue) Buzas, age 91, of Coopersville, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020. She was born in Manistee, MI., to the late Raymond and Regina (Stepka) McCue. Dolores worked for Dr Timmerman in Coopersville and at Continental Motors and after marrying her husband Louie they owned and operated the Anchor Inn (Southside Tavern) in Coopersville and Courtesy Motel in Grand Haven for many years until their retirement. Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She possessed a strong work ethic, enjoyed cooking for family especially during the holidays, was a Cub Scout Den Mother, avid bowler, had a great sense of humor, was a people person and enjoyed time spent in Florida after her retirement. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Louis Buzas in 2014, sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois (Skip) Homoly and Betty (John) Hodson, brother and sister-in-law, Raymond R. (June) McCue. She will be missed by her children, Stan (Sandra) Buzas, Larry Buzas and Shelly (David) Phillips; grandchildren, Matthew Buzas, Shannon (Mike) Greer, DJ (Sue) Bultema, Alaina Buzas and Bruce Robinson, Patrick Buzas, Christopher (Kathleen) Raymond and Melissa (Cory) VanderSloot; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 2:00 P.M. at St Michael’s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville, MI. 49404 with Fr. Ayub Francis Nasar celebrant. Burial will be next to her husband in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. The family will be at St. Michael’s Church in Coopersville on Friday from 1 – 2 pm to receive relatives and friends prior to the funeral mass. Due to Covid-19, Masks and Social Distancing Practices Are Required.
