Dennis Cushway

Dennis W. Cushway, age 68, of Allendale, was called home to his Lord, Saturday, August 14, 2021 with family at his side. Dennis was a Coopersville High School Graduate and worked for J & L Roofing of Grand Rapids for 28 yrs. until his retirement. Dennis was a man of faith who loved the Lord and lived his life thru him. He was a role model to his family as well as many others. Dennis loved the outdoors and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of fishing and hunting with his children, grandchildren and friends. He was quick to lend a hand and help others and was known as “The guy that could fix anything”. Dennis also enjoyed attending car shows with his car show buddies and showing off his 1965 Barracuda he restored. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Sandy (VanDenBrink) Cushway; children, Dennis “Chris” (Staci) Cushway, Tara (Ryan) Bosch, Ranae Cushway, Ross (Courtney) Cushway and Katie (Robert) McEachen; 14 grandchildren, Hunter, Mackenzi, Tanner, Aiden, Kylie, Spencer, Easton, Maverick, Olivia, Sawyer, Evelyn, Lydia, Grant and Norah; mother, Carolyn Cushway; brothers and sisters, Steven (Alicia) Cushway, Coralee (Randy) VanDenBrink, Carla (Steven) Hart, Paul (Regina) Cushway; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Henry VanDenBrink, Jay VanDenBrink, Robert (Pam) VanDenBrink, Julie (Joe) Palma, Marlin VanDenBrink, Loren (Carla) VanDenBrink and Randy (Coralee) VanDenBrink; many nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021 at Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Dr. Allendale MI 49401.
