Danny "Dan" Weldon Coxon

Danny “Dan” Weldon Coxon, aged 65, of Conklin, MI., was called home to his Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Coxon, father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter Jr. and Bertha Grzybowski and his grandparents. 

Dan is survived by his wife of 41 years, Evelyn (Grzybowski) Coxon; daughters, Justine and Christopher Waller, Danielle Coxon and Chris Corder; grandsons, Isaac Waller and Ethan Waller; mother, Joyce Coxon; brothers, Doug Coxon, Steve (Chris) Coxon and Rick (Katie) Coxon; in-laws, Walter II (Linda) Grzybowski, Gordon (Nancy) Grzybowski, Nancy (Mike) Volpe, John Grzybowski, Susan (Stephen) Leichty, Chris (Denise) Grzybowski, and Hank (Sally) Grzybowski; many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Dan was a graduate of Kent City High School Class of 1976, Ferris State University in Big Rapids, and was retired from GE Aviation Systems formerly Lear Siegler in Grand Rapids, MI where he worked as a Materials Engineer. He was a member of the Conklin Reformed Church and the Wet and Wild Wednesday Night Fishing League. Dan enjoyed doing volunteer work, attending community events to support his daughters and his grandsons, doing projects with his grandsons, watching baseball and football, hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 2 – 4 P.M. and 5 - 8 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 5, 2023 11:00 A.M. at the Coopersville Reformed Church, 423 W. Randall St, Coopersville, MI. with Rev. Sandra Nikkel officiating.
