Christopher Weis

Christopher Edward Weis, age 80, of Conklin, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his residence in Florida. He was born in Conklin, MI to Edward and Mildred (White) Weis who preceded him in death. Chris served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked as a carpenter in Ravenna and the surrounding area for many years. Chris enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf, throwing shoes and wintering in Florida. Chris was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline on July 23, 2014. He will be deeply missed by his children, Craig (Laura) Weis, Keith (Tammy) Weis, Karleen (Richard) Schuiling and Kyle (Rose) Weis; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren with one additional great grandchild to arrive in December; sister, Linda (Dennis) Best; brother-in-law, Dr. Jeff (Carolyn) Johnson; three sisters-in-law, Joan Drake, Jan Harrison, Judy (Arno) Driedger and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 5, 2014, 10:00 am at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2044 Gooding Road, Conklin, MI 49403. Interment at St Francis Xavier Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday one hour prior to the service at Church. Memorial donations may be made to St Francis Xavier Church.
