Christine Marie Wiltenburg (Spinner)

April 27, 1958 — January 19, 2025

Christine Marie Wiltenburg (Spinner), 66, of Ravenna, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 27, 1958, in Grand Haven, Michigan, to Joseph and Gladys (Busman) Spinner, Christine brought joy to all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor.

Christine grew up on a farm in Nunica, Michigan, alongside her six brothers and one sister. A 1976 graduate of Spring Lake High School, she began working at Leigh Products in Coopersville, where she met the love of her life, Dan Wiltenburg. They married on August 15, 1979, at the Muskegon County Courthouse and built a life together filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories.

A devoted wife, mother, and nana, Christine’s family was her greatest joy. She dedicated her life to raising her two sons, Jeremy and Josh, and later doted on her four grandchildren: Andrew, Adelyn, Alivia, and Cooper. She was a constant presence at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, always their biggest cheerleader.

Christine, affectionately known as “Tina” by many, was a homemaker for much of her life, occasionally providing sought-after house-cleaning services in the Ravenna community. She later worked at Ravenna Public Schools for 16 years as a custodian and office paraprofessional at the high school and middle school, retiring in 2012.

Known for her exceptional cooking, Tina’s potato salad was a highlight at family gatherings, and her chicken noodle soup, cowboy baked beans, and butterscotch cookies remain treasured memories for her children and grandchildren.

Christine is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dan Wiltenburg; her sons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Wiltenburg and Joshua (Melissa) Wiltenburg; her beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Adelyn, Alivia, and Cooper; her mother-in-law, Edith Wiltenburg-McDonald; her siblings, Larry, Ron (Michelle), Dale (Leah), David (Debra), Paul (Vicki), and Gayle VenRoy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gladys Spinner, and her brother, Mark.

In keeping with Christine’s wish cremation has taken place.A visitation to celebrate Christine’s life will be held 5 to 7 P.M.
