Charles “Chuck” Albrecht, age 82, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Friday, February 25, 2022. He was born in Coopersville, MI to the late Lewis “Bud” and Maxine (Leach) Albrecht. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Albrecht, sister Esther Ingalls, brother-in-law John Kirkwood, father-in-law Jack and Evelyn Kirkwood and mother-in-law Marie and Bob VanDragt. Chuck was a graduate of Coopersville High School class of 1958, served in the United States Navy, was a member of St Michael’s Catholic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council 9909 at St Michael’s. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, making maple syrup with his son Charles and going camping. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years Christy “Chris” Albrecht; children, Charles M. (Greih) Albrecht, Peggy (Agustin) Montaner, Sindy (Dan) Esseltine and Meri (Perry) Waddell; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Carol Maiville; sister-in-law, Connie (Rod) Penland; several nieces and nephews and dear friend Craig Bleckley. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville, MI 49404, with Fr. Ayub Nasar celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family 5 – 7 PM Thursday, March 3, 2022 at St. Michaels Catholic Church with The Rosary at 7:00 PM and also on Friday one hour prior to the service at Church. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
