Catherine Mccleese

Catherine Ann McCleese, age 74, of Nunica passed away at her home Thursday, March 8, 2018. Catherine was born in East Jordan, MI. to the late Max and Permelia (Hite) Kamradt. She was a longtime resident of Nunica and member of Coopersville VFW Post# 5598, Ladies Auxiliary. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family, caring for her dogs and animals, flower gardening, traveling and spending time in the mountains.  She was an avid crafter, enjoyed painting, crocheting, tatting, and attended many local craft shows selling her crafts.  She also baked many wedding cakes for her family and others. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, daughter, Gay Ring, granddaughter, Sarah Griffin, two great granddaughters, Marley Ring and Colette Arends and brother Lewis Kamradt. Catherine is survived by her daughters, Joy McCleese and Kay (Norman) Anderson; son-in-law, Justin Ring; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a new great grandson arriving in June; sisters, Kay Gibelyou and Karen (Walter) Wolletz; brother, Fred (Yvonne) Kamradt; many nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place with interment in Nunica Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Crockery Twp. Hall, 17431 112th Ave, Nunica, MI 49448 on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
