Carroll L. Cook

Carroll L. Cook, age 92, of Coopersville, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023. Carroll was born in Eastmanville, MI. to the late Lambert and Marion (VanHouten) Cook. He was a graduate of Coopersville High School and was the sexton for the Eastmanville Cemetery in Polkton Twp. for many years. Carroll was preceded in death by his sons, David and DJ. He is survived by his significant other Dorothy Koppenol; children, Debra (Bob) Bates, Marianne (James) Talalay and Mark Cook (Lauryn Werschem); 6 grandchildren, Kelly (Kevin) Joldersma, Joel (Delia) Bush, Justin Behler, Joshua Talalay, Randy Cook and Crystal (Nick) Pruett; 8 great grandchildren, Oscar, Henry and Ella Joldersma, Calvin and Hannah Bush, Julian, Alec and Gwenna Pruett; sister Marilyn Vellenga; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank the Staff and Caregivers at Fountain View in Coopersville for the care that they gave Carroll. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. Interment will be in the Eastmaville Cemetery. A Life Celebration Gathering for family and friends will be held 5 – 7 pm Friday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville.
