Carol Ann (Beuschel) Poffinbarger

Carol Ann (Beuschel) Poffinbarger, age 80, of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at her home with family by her side. She was born in Sparta, MI to the late Edward and Florence (Wagner) Beuschel. Carol had a huge heart, was the sweetest and most caring person. She was active with the Ravenna American Legion Auxiliary, Girl Scout Leader in Ravenna and was a cook at St. Catherine’s School. Carol owned an upholstery shop during the 1980’s in Ravenna, worked at the Ravenna Livestock Sale, was involved with the Ravenna Rocket Football League and was active with her children’s school and sporting events. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 59 yrs., Richard Poffinbarger Sr; children, Annette Poffinbarger, John and Angela Poffinbarger, Richard “Richie” Poffinbarger Jr. and Tom Fredrickson, Clark Poffinbarger and Gail Pickering, Kevin and Jill Poffinbarger; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Dennis Beuschel; sisters, Virginia Meyers, Arlene and Les Thayer, Brenda Spangenberg and MaryJo Demeester; sisters-in-law, Marlene and Frank Pano and Joyce Poffinbarger; several nieces, nephews aunts, cousins and  many dear friends. Visitation will be 4-7:30 P.M. Thursday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and Friday one hour prior to the Mass at St Francis Xavier Church in Conklin. Rosary will be prayed Thursday 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 12, 2023 at St Francis Xavier Church, 2044 Gooding St, Conklin, with Fr. Andrew Ayers, Celebrant.
