Barbara Walcott

Mrs Barbara Mae Walcott, aged 73, of Marne was called home to her Lord Thrusday Sept. 8, 2011. Barb was born May 2, 1938 in Grand Rapids, MI. to Peter and Claire (Simmons) Flipse. She worked 22yrs for Kenowa Hills Public Schools in there food service program, and also was a volunteer mentor for Kids Hope at Marne Elementary School. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Albert é�a�A"Jimé�a�� Walcott; children Cindy (David) Lillibridge, Todd (Vicky) Walcott, and Tim (Marcie) Walcott; six grandchildren; two sisters JoAnn (Ken) Anes and Martha (Neal) Noordyke; brother Bill (Joannie) Flipse, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Monday 11:00 am at the Marne United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Marne Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville. In lieu of flowers the family ask you to consider a memorial donation to The American Cancer Society or Marne United Methodist Church.
