Mrs. Barbara Lynn "Tami" Ledford (Smith), age 59, of Bradstown, KY, formerly of Coopersville, MI., passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017, at her residence. Tami was born on July 13th, 1958 at Grant Community Hospital in Grant, MI. She graduated from Coopersville High School in Coopersville, MI. Tami retired from Johnson Controls, was of the Baptist faith and was an incredible wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and daughter. Her interests included baking, cooking, and gardening. She was very big on family. She loved her babies and grand babies very much. She loved every person she came into contact with. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Smith, and granddaughter, Jalyssa Cady. She is survived by her husband, Spencer Ledford, 3 daughters, Tyla (Brian) VanderMaas of Grandville, MI; Gina Brown of Grand Rapids, MI; Lisa (Joe) Rangel of Hart, MI; 3 stepchildren, James Ledford, Ryan (Dani) Ledford, both of Lake Charles, LA; Lynn (Jason) Pantea of Mishawaka, IN; her parents, Lee and Barbara Smith of Coopersville, MI; sister, Anna (Duane) McDonald of Allegan, MI; brothers Jason (Diane) Smith of Corapeake NC; Aaron (DeAnne) Smith of Almont, MI; and 9 grandchildren. The memorial service will be held at Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville, MI on August 27th, 2017. Visitation will start at 11am and funeral will begin at 1 pm. Tami touched the lives of so many, her kindness, and selflessness left an imprint on them all. Her free spirit is here and always will be with us.
