Audrey Lou (Minkler) Laug, age 93, of Coopersville, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI. to the late James and Anna (Jousma) Minkler. Audrey was a woman who loved her family and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved meeting new people, traveling to new places and experiencing all this world had to offer. She enjoyed gathering her family together especially during the holidays and birthdays. Audrey enjoyed knitting, traveling, baking, watching Jeopardy and volunteering with the Red Cross, Santa Claus Girls and at the Blandford Nature Center in her younger years. She was known for her Pumpkin Cookies and always seemed to have fresh baked cookies ready for anyone that stopped to see her. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 51 yrs. Gordon Laug who passed away on Sep. 24, 1998, her son Larry Laug and sister and brother-in-law Norma and Alfred Brokus and brothers-in-law Fred Barton and James Jager. She is survived by her children, Wanda Bronkema, Karen Laug, David (Lori) Laug, Heidi Laug and Wendy (Jeff) Holman; granddaughters Jennifer Bronkema, Nicole Bronkema, Beth Bronkema and Mariah Laug; great grandsons, Nick and Justin; sisters, Shirley Barton and Nancy Jager; many nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. The family will meet relatives and friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville MI 49404.
