Arthur Klein

Arthur J. Klein, age 95, of Coopersville, was called home to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Art enjoyed time spent with family and friends, fishing, golfing, playing cards, and watching the Detroit Tigers. He always displayed his competitive spirit in those activities. Art was a longtime very active member of service at St Michael’s Church in Coopersville and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur C. and Minnie (Horter) Klein, his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Klein and his daughter Louise Goosen. Surviving are his children, Ronald (Marti) Klein, Dennis (Lucy) Klein, Diane (Tom) Rozema, Gary (Diane VanderLaan) Klein, Art (Marlene) Klein, Carol (Sean) Kelly; son-in-law, Jerry Goosen; special foreign exchange children, Marcos Bomfim and Cherry (Tom) Schmidt; many many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Arlene) Klein; sisters-in-law, Bernadine Klein; Helen Helsen; brothers-in-law, Eugene (Margaret) Helsen and Jim Pickard; many nieces and nephews. Art was also preceded in death by his siblings, Erwin Klein, Lawrence Klein, Vincent Klein, Jerome Klein, Lorretta VanDyke, Philomena Rosloniec and Marcelle VanDyke. Due to Covid a Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Michael’s Catholic Church in Coopersville with Fr. Ayub Francis Nasar Celebrant. Burial will be next to his wife Elizabeth in St Michael’s Cemetery. The family urges in lieu of flowers to consider a donation to Fountain View Estates, Baruch Ministries, 640 W.
