Mr Arnold Robert Wendt III, of Coopersville, passed away very unexpectedly Saturday December 1, 2012 at his home in Coopersville. Arnold was born May 3, 1949 in Grand Rapids MI to Arnold R. Wendt Jr. and Joyce Dorothy (Slavinskas) Wendt who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister Diane Long. Arnold was a faithful member of St Michaelé�a�a��s Catholic Parish of Coopersville, attended daily mass at St Alphonsus in Grand Rapids, was employed at Preferred Tool and Die of Comstock Park for over 25 years and served in the United States Coast Guard. Arnold was a man who had a strong faith in God, was a devoted husband, father, Dzia Dzia and loved to spend time with his grandchildren, and family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Marie Wendt; son and daughter, Zach and Shannon Wendt; 5 grandchildren, Trinity Rose, Isabelle Grace, Veronica Lily, Gabriel Michael, and Seraphina Clare; sister, Mary Margaret Wendt; brother, Terry and Kim Wendt and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Arné�a�a��s wish cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday Dec 6, 2012, 11:00 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville, MI 49404. Fr Dave Gross, Fr Matt Barnum and Deacon Chuck Schwartz celebrants. Interment will be in St Michael's Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday one hour prior to the service at church.
