Arlyn Walt

Arlyn J. Walt of Coopersville, MI, passed away Wednesday March 2, 2022, at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy Walt (Kloosterhouse); their children, April (Kevin) Wieringa and Sybrant J. Walt; grandsons, Noah and Seth; Arlyn’s siblings, Lois Adema, Delores (Arnie) Medendorp, Luella (Ray) Snyder, Allen (Sue) Walt; in-laws, Bud and Nancy Kloosterhouse, Laurie (Steve) Alt, Lonnie (Rick) Lillibridge, Diane Busman, and Tom Kloosterhouse. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Irene Walt; brothers-in-law Bill Adema and Mike Kulikamp. Arlyn was a farmer who worked hard to provide, a husband who loved his wife, and a good neighbor – always willing to help a friend. He was a third-generation dairy farmer and was known for his kindness and generosity, his love for God, and his passion for the farm. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and active in the Michigan Milk Producers Association. Arlyn loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Coopersville Reformed Church serving on consistory for many years. He has always had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor John Hines, will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11:00 am at Coopersville Reformed Church, 423 W Randall St., Coopersville, MI 49404. Burial will take place in the Coopersville-Polkton Cemetery.
