Alice June (Schafer) Gage

Alice June (Schafer) Gage, age 85, of Coopersville, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024. Alice was born in Coopersville, MI. to the late Roy and Mildred (Simmons) Schafer. She was a graduate of Coopersville High School, Class of 1957 and attended Ottawa Center Chapel. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors working in her yard, tending her flowers, doing puzzles, reading, traveling, going to the beach, watching NASCAR and the Detroit Tigers.

 She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Joel) Molyneux and Colleen (Kent) Bennink; 9 grandchildren, Ben (Emily) Molyneux, Rebecca (Seth) DeFouw, Erin (Connor) Tibbe, Seth Hulst, Brandon Bennink, Brooke Bennink, Kylee Bennink, Zach Bennink and Justin Bennink: 4 great grandchildren, Sophia Williams, Paisley Williams, Terren Williams, Maven DeFouw and a new great grandchild to arrive in October; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 In addition to her parents Alice was preceded in death by her brothers, James Schafer, Robert Schafer, Arthur Sullivan and sister Betty Sullivan.

 Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Ottawa Center Chapel, 8991 Leonard Rd, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Pastor Robert Porterfield officiating. Burial will be in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will take place 10 – 11 A.M. Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service at Church.
