Mr. Albert é�a�A"Jimé�a�� Walcott, age 79, lifelong resident of Marne passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Jim was born in Wright Twp. MI. to Norman and Lena (Marcusse) Walcott and preceded in death by his wife Barbara Walcott (Flipse) who passed away Sept. 8, 2011. Jim worked at Layman Welding Supply in Grand Rapids for many years and retired from Meijer stores where he worked in maintenance. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the cottage and camping and sharing his love of the outdoors with them. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his garage on lawnmowers, tractors and antique cars. Jim will be deeply missed by his children, Cindy and David Lillibridge, Todd and Vicky Walcott and Tim and Marcie Walcott; grandchildren, Phil and Erin Lillibridge, Brad Lillibridge and Ashley Neeley, Steve and Soheila Merritt, Brandon Merritt, Amanda Walcott and Audrey Walcott; five great grandchildren; brothers, Joe and Delores Walcott, Chuck and Jan Walcott, Don and Jill Walcott and Jerry Walcott; sister-in-laws, JoAnn Anes, Martha and Neil Noordyke and Joannie Flipse and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville. An interment service will be held in the Spring at Marne Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Stonebridge Manor, 3511-15 Leonard Street Northwest, Walker, MI 49534 .
