Obituary

Janice Fordham, 61, of Ludington, formerly of Coopersville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 11, 2014 in Minneapolis MN. After being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in March, Jan decided to live life to the fullest each day that God had set before her. Travel became a constant on her calendar, including time with all of her immediate and extended family. Just weeks before passing, Jan found the strength to travel to Florida and North Carolina to have an extended vacation with all of her children, their families, and friends; a vacation that will be forever treasured. Janice was born to Irvin and Pearl (Emma) Fordham on April 28, 1953. Being born into a farming family, Jan learned perseverance and the value of hard work and of family at an early age. Janice graduated from Coopersville High School in 1971, and went on to enjoy 13 years of marriage to Roger White that blessed them with three children. While life had challenges, she kept her faith strong and offered compassion to the ill, an ear to anyone in need, and a shoulder to cry on for those that found themselves overwhelmed. Jan saw the people of this world as one, not to be differentiated by who they love, or the color of their skin, and took it upon herself to embrace people from all walks of life. Jan worked in her career at Baywood Nursing Home, and then at Kwik Print Plus in Ludington. Jan enjoyed helping those that needed any type of assistance, and her smile and warm demeanor showed in all circumstances. True to her personality, there was never a stranger, and only those that she had not yet met. Janice is survived by her daughter Lisa White-Morgan and partner Joe Morreale of Macomb MI, and her children Cody Morgan, Andreas (Andy) Saucedo, and Alexandra Saucedo; her son Roger White and his partner Mark Witzany, who Jan loved and adored as her own son, of Minneapolis MN, and their children Nicole, Brian, Sebastian, Ethan and Lily; and her daughter Christina and Jeremiah Siemiaszko of Ludington MI, and their children Quentin and Cara; mother Pearl (Emma) Fordham, sisters Carolyn and Arthur Butler, Barb and Pete Troupos, and Deb and Dan Behmlander, as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family. Janice was preceded in death by her father Irvin Fordham, as well as brother Timothy Fordham and sister Jacquelyn Fordham. Funeral Services for Janice will be held Friday, Sept. 19th, 12:00 noon at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 745 W. US Hwy. 10-31, Scottville, MI 49454, Rev James Schroeder officiating with burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Conklin, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday 5 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI. 49404 or Friday 10 am to 12 noon at the church. In honor of her love of a life, and her passion for anything bold, you are encouraged to wear bright colors to this celebration of life; just as Jan lived her life. Memorial donations in Janice memory may be made to the Fordham family C/O Throop Funeral Home to help with expenses. An online guestbook may be signed at www.throopfh.com. ‘Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another; be compassionate and humble.’ 1 Peter 3:8 Throop Funeral Home Coopersville, MI.
