Obituary

Mr Scott Sidney Harris, aged 53, of Grandville, passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Holland Hospital. He was born in Grand Rapids, on Aug 5, 1958, the son of Louis and Marjorie Harris of Coopersville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie; his sister, Lynette; and his brother-in-law, Ronald Panozzo. Scott was a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the U.S. Army, beginning in 1978, where he served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. He has been employed at the Laurels of Hudsonville for the past 11 years, where he has worked as a PTA. Because of his love for the elderly, he also provided in-home physical therapy care. He was very active in his church, Monroe Community Church, in downtown Grand Rapids. With a passion for genealogy, he also loved being a researcher for the Coopersville Area Historical Society Museum. Scott loved his friends, as his family. He is survived by his father, Louis Harris, of Coopersville; his sisters, Laurene (David) Veeneman, of Grand Rapids; Krista (the late Ronald) Panozzo, of Muskegon; Kerri (Duane) Snowdin, of Coopersville; special friends/sisters, Renee (Billy) Clay, of Grand Rapids; Diana (James) Ehnen, of Muskegon; nieces Candice (Andrew) Epperly, of Coopersville; Rebekah (Michael) Rotman, of Coopersvillle; nephews Trevor Antonides, of Jacksonville, FL; William (Valeria) Wiebenga III, of MN; great-nieces Loralye Rotman; Carly and Gretchen Epperly; Mia Wiebenga (Scott's Goddaughter); great-nephews Bordy Rotman; Joshua and Jonathan Epperly, all of whom he adored and loved as his own children.
